Troubleshooting generation issues and errors
What to do when something doesn't go as expected
Creating with generative AI is a fast, iterative workflow. If a response takes too long, an image fails to render, or a design change isn't quite right, simple controls help you stay in command without losing work.
1. Retry
If a temporary network timeout or API hiccup occurs:
- Click the Retry button shown next to the error notification.
- The assistant will re-run the generation immediately using the same prompt context.
2. Restore to a Previous Version in History
If a recent edit altered a section you preferred in an earlier state:
- In the message action menu, click Restore to this version.
- Your project will immediately revert to that exact checkpoint, discarding subsequent unwanted changes.
When to use version restore:
- To test a completely new design style without risking your existing version.
- When an edit modified sections you wanted to keep intact.
3. Refining prompts for clearer AI comprehension
If the assistant didn't capture your intent:
- Break into smaller steps: Request 2 or 3 focused changes per turn rather than 10 complex edits at once.
- Be descriptive: Cite the headline, button name, or specific paragraph you want adjusted.
- Provide examples: Sharing a reference phrase or uploading a sample image clarifies your aesthetic direction.
